WHAT WE DO
Semaforos Automation specializes in EDI (Electronic Data Interchange) and UNIX middleware, working with clients to identify business processes that can be automated, resulting in decreased time required by office employees and technical staff.
We offer scripting, automation, systems analysis, and job-shadowing as needed. We automate time-consuming, daily manual data checks. We write Bash, TCL, and/or Perl programs to identify calculation discrepancies and sanitize input data.
Our team works with you to pull data from UNIX systems and provide custom reporting on data from multiple sources where disparate systems do not talk to each other (or direct APIs and application access are not available.)
Semaforos deploys, configures, and maintains NAKIVO(tm) backup software for clients and has extensive experience performing disaster recovery drills for the AT&T Business Recovery Center.
Prior projects involved Clinical Engineering (EPIC rollouts) in healthcare settings, deploying "puppet" at StubHub, porting tens of thousands of lines of startup scripts and system checks from Solaris to Linux for the Chicago Board Options Exchange (CBOE), in addition to 7+ years of experience with Event Day/Game Day operations (deploying Cisco StadiumVision and all aspects of the connected fan experience in stadium construction projects across North America) and creating heads-up NOC displays for manufacturing (BAE Systems) and telecommunications (AT&T Wi-Fi Services).
